The pain
How most teams plan their week
Without Layers Calendar
- ✗Meetings in one calendar, task deadlines in a tracker
- ✗The call link gets copied from another service
- ✗Who’s coming gets sorted out in the chat
- ✗The phone calendar lives apart from the work one
01 · See
The whole week on one screen
Meetings, your task deadlines, client bookings and invitations from mail — in one grid. No switching between services.
Week
Meetings and your task deadlines in one week
The weekly stand-up and the design review sit in the hourly grid. Your task deadlines are there too: timed ones in their hour, the rest in the All day row.

Day panel
Your task deadlines in the day panel
On the right is the selected day: Task deadlines by the hour. Below them — Create on this day.
02 · Plan
A meeting in half a minute
Select the time with your mouse or click New event. Repeat, reminder and call link are in the same window.
New event
Select the time and the form is already filled in
Drag across free hours and New event opens with that date and time. All that’s left is the title.
Call link
The call link lives in the event
Turn on Add a call link and pick the type: a regular call, a conference for 300 people or a webinar for 1,000.

03 · Invite
Invite people — and know who’s coming
Colleagues from your workspace and guests by email. The calendar warns you when someone is busy, and the event card shows the responses. The call itself happens in Layers Calls.
Availability
Busy? The calendar tells you right away
Add a participant at a time they’re booked, and a warning appears at the bottom of the window: “… is busy at this time”.
Responses
See who’s coming in the event card
Everyone answers Going, Not going or Maybe — the organizer sees the answers next to the names.

Call
Join the call right from the event
A meeting with a link has a Join the call button in its card and a button to copy the link — send it to your guests.

04 · Change
Plans change — the calendar keeps up
Move a meeting with the mouse, change one meeting in a series or the whole series, cancel it — participants find out on their own.
Move
Drag it and the meeting is in its new spot
Grab a meeting and drop it on another day and hour: Sprint 14 retro moves from Saturday to Sunday.
And more
Everything else you need from a calendar
Meeting color

Client bookings
A client booked a consultation — it’s already in your day, with their name.

Calls, chat and calendar together
Calls happen in Calls, messages in Chat. The whole module is on the Communication page.
Your calendar, your control
Is it free?
Yes: free in the cloud for up to 20 people, no card. On your own server — with a license.
Do tasks show up in the calendar?
Yes: tasks with a due date where you are the assignee. Timed ones in their hour, the rest in the All day row. The due date is changed in the task, and clicking it opens the task in Projects.
Can I subscribe to the calendar in Google Calendar or on an iPhone?
Yes: Settings → Calendar. Apple Calendar and Google Calendar take one click, Android works through DAVx5, everything else through CalDAV or a link. The subscription is read-only — events are changed in Layers.
How do I invite someone without an account?
Enter their email in Participants — they get an invitation and can respond right from the email.
What if a meeting repeats?
Repeat every day, week, month, year or set your own: every N, on chosen weekdays, until a date or N times. An edit can apply to one meeting, to this and following ones or to the whole series.
Can I share my calendar with a colleague?
Yes: Settings → Calendar access. A colleague sees when you are busy or your full meetings — whichever you allow. Working hours are set there too.
Do reminders arrive?
Yes, by email — 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, an hour or a day before, whichever you choose in the event.
